The BCCI published the Tata IPL Schedule 2023 pdf on 17th February 2023, indicating that the opening match of the tournament will take place in Ahmedabad on 31st March 2023 (Friday), between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. The final match will be held in Bengaluru on 21st May 2023 (Sunday), with Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on Gujarat Titans.

On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India revealed the plan for the TATA Indian Premier League 2023. This season of the event will go back to the conventional home and away format, with each team playing seven matches in their home stadium and seven away matches. A total of seventy league stage matches will be held over the course of fifty-two days at twelve different venues. The 16th season of the competition will commence on the 31st of March 2023 with Gujarat Titans facing off against Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The first double-header day will be on the 1st of April, featuring Punjab Kings vs. Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali and Lucknow Super Giants vs. Delhi Capitals in Lucknow.

The TATA IPL 2023 will consist of 18 double headers, with the day games beginning at 3:30 PM IST and the evening games at 07:30 PM IST. The Rajasthan Royals are set to start their first two home games in Guwahati and the remaining in Jaipur. Punjab Kings will be hosting their five home matches in Mohali and their last two home games against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals respectively will be in Dharamshala. The details of the Playoffs and Final will be revealed later. The grand finale of TATA IPL 2023 will take place on May 28, 2023, with the fixtures for the league stage being already declared
