Hajj is a religious duty and the fifth pillar of Islam. Umrah is a religious duty that is not required but has a lot of benefits. Millions of Muslims from all over the world come to the holy land of Makkah to perform these holy duties because of how important and meaningful they are. Hajj must be done at a certain time and can only be done once a year. Can I travel alone for Umrah? yes! But clothing pattern will be same for the All pilgrims. Umrah can be done at any time of the year, unlike Hajj, as long as you have the time and money. During his life, our beloved Prophet PBUH did only one Hajj and four Umrahs. In both Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims wear a certain type of cloth called Ihram.

Ihram is a part of Umrah and Hajj, and the holy duty cannot be done without it. Pilgrims don't know what clothes to pack for Hajj and Umrah and what other things they must have in their bags. Pilgrims who are going for the first time don't know much, so they often forget some of the most important things they need there, causing them stress and tension when they need them. To make sure this doesn't happen, we'll give you a list of the best clothes you should pack in your bag, along with other things you'll need.

In Saudi Arabia, it gets very hot in the summer and is nice in the winter, but it is always hot at other times of the year. During the day, it's very hot there, but at night, it's much cooler. Almost everywhere except outside has high-speed air conditioning. Pilgrims who only bring light cotton clothes may get cold at night if they only bring those. During the day, you should wear clothes that are light and tough. Men should bring two Ihrams and two abayas, and women should bring two under caps. During the summer, one Ihram might get dirty or sweaty, so you need to change it to stay clean. From a health point of view, you can't wear the same Ihram for days. After two or three days, you have to change it. Your Ihram might get dirty or get torn. To avoid this kind of trouble, it's easy if you bring extra Ihram with you.

Men must wear only Ihram during Hajj and Umrah, but women don't have to. They can wear any of their usual clothes, but they should remember that their clothes should follow Islamic rules. It is suggested that you bring 4 to 5 sets of clothes for two weeks. Don't bring extra things that you don't need, because they will only make your bag bigger. Pack carefully and only take the most important things. During Hajj and Umrah, most women wear white. However, when they go out into the sun, the white colour may show their bodies. So, it's important to make sure their clothes are made of thick enough material to cover their bodies well. But clothes should be made of materials that let air through. It is best to stay away from pure fabrics because Saudi Arabia is a hot country and most of the time pilgrims will be out in the sun. If they use natural fabric too much, it could wear them out and make them suffocate. When you wear mixed fabrics, your body stays cooler.

Another thing to remember is that white underwear should be worn under the white clothes. White underwear, white summer socks, thin white pants, a white T-shirt or kameez, and a white Abaya are all good choices. You can also wear a loose-fitting dress with full sleeves and a white hijab that is big enough to cover your upper body. There are no rules against wearing a black abaya, but the colour black soaks up heat and makes you tired in hot weather.

For Hajj and Umrah, the best thing to wear is something simple, like a cotton blend that is easy to take care of, lets air in, and covers you from head to toe. Use a mix of fabrics for your Ihram, just like men do, and carry a small towel with you.

Choosing the right shoes is just as important as choosing the right clothes. Wear shoes that are easy, comfortable, and long-lasting. Men can't wear shoes that cover their feet, so flip-flops are the best choice for summer. Wear flip-flops or tennis shoes if you need to walk a long distance. Sneakers aren't the best option because you have to pay attention to the laces. Having to tie the laces over and over again takes a lot of time, and if they aren't tied right, you could trip. Covering the feet is part of Hijab, so women shouldn't wear flip-flops until they can wear socks with them. When you wear socks, it's hard to walk. So, cross shoes or tennis shoes without laces are the best thing to wear. Pilgrims have to take off and put back on their shoes. For example, shoes without laces are best in Wudhu rooms and inside mosques. You don't have to wear white shoes; any style or colour will do. But it's important to remember that your shoes shouldn't be too shiny or flashy.
