U watchfree movies online in just a few minutes from the comfort of your own home with a free movie site or on the go with a free movie app on your phone or tablet.

Most movie sites let you look at the movies by subcategories, most popular, and newest. So, it's easy to find something to enjoy right away.

Crackle

Crackle has a lot of action movies and TV shows, with dozens of them to choose from. You can look at all of the movies that the site recommends on one page and sort them by when they were added to the list.

Yidio

Yidio has a lot of movies from many different online sources and in many different types. You can sort the movies by title and rating, such as R, G, or PG-13.

You can find movies like Superman, Apocalypto, Need for Speed, 300, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Man on Fire, and The 5th Wave by choosing Free as the source and Action as the genre.

Vudu

Vudu is a great place to find free action movies because it has a lot of high-quality options and a lot of movies that you probably already know.

Jurassic Island, Braven, Conspiracy, Monster Family, Accident Man, The Breed, No Escape, and Army of One are some of the most popular free action movies here.

Some movies on Vudu can only be watched if you pay. Make sure you check the "Free movies only" box or look for titles that say "Free with ads" to see only the free ones.

Popcornflix

Popcornflix has a lot of other free action movies that you can watch. We've seen movies like Raven, Ramblin' Man, Blitz, Strays, 2012: Ice Age, 5th Passenger, 200 MPH, A.I. 187, and Absolution.

Even though there are hundreds of titles here, you can't sort them by how popular they are or how recently they were added. Instead, you have to scroll through the list or search by title.

Play tube

Play tube is another place with a lot of options. This site is easy to use, has HD movies, subtitles, and works in full screen mode.

The last time we went to Tubi, action movies like Déjà Vu, Fool's Gold, Wyatt Earp, and Exodus: Gods and Kings were free to stream. Mortal Kombat, Set It Off, Gone in 60 Seconds, Blade II, and The Bourne Ultimatum all made the list.

The channel on Roku

Although the Roku Channel looks like a Roku-only streaming service, it runs from a computer, too.

Action movies like The Burning Plain, Unhinged, Boon, Jungle, A Tale of Two Guns, Good People, and Red Dawn all have their own section.

YouTube

YouTube has millions and millions of videos, as well as movie trailers, TV shows, and even movies. But since the movies aren't sorted by type, you can't use a filter to find just the action movies.

Some action movies we've seen on YouTube are Independence Day, The Transporter, Die Hard 2: Die Harder, Taxi, Annihilation, Congo, Premium Rush, and Lords Of Dogtown, but there are many more to find.

Freevee

Amazon's Freevee has tonnes of free movies, many that you've heard of, but also some original titles.

You can't find a way to sort just the action movies, so you'll have to watch them one by one. Some examples are Left Behind, The Hive, The Angry Birds Movie, Spy, Young Guns, The Huntsman: Winter's War, The Longest Ride, 1917, Pitch Black, and The Hunt.

Pluto TV

There is a live TV channel on Pluto TV that is always on and shows action movies all day, every day. You don't have to sign up for an account to watch these movies right now on your computer, TV, or mobile device.

There is also a long list of movies that you can watch whenever you want. This is different from the live TV option because you can start, stop, fast-forward, etc., just like you can with a recorded movie.
