Do you remember your first set of wheels? I do. I remember my trike like it was yesterday! I grew up on a farm and we did not have much cement to drive on, but I adult electric scooter about wore out the tires on that first pedal trike so many years ago.

Today there are many other options for a child, young adult or teen. There are so many options out there for a razor electric scooter. For the money the scooters are a great way to get your kid out of the house and into the sunshine rather than spending all of their time in front of a TV or computer screen.

The amount of freedom that it can bring a child is great. A quick drive down to the park or to the store is a great way to teach some responsibility to a child. It may well turn out to be their favorite toy, so they will want to take care of the item.

I know the first few times you see them take off down the street or wherever you may just about have a heart attack, but it will be worth it. The joy and learning it will bring to a child is well worth a little growing pain, for me, that is. Sometimes it is a bit tough to see them growing up so fast. And safety is a thought as well.

Concerns about safety are always present for a caring parent. No different here with a child's first set of powered wheels. I love those commercials where the father is looking at his little six or so year old girl and talking to her while she is sitting behind the driver's seat. And as the father lets her go, she turns into the young woman that she really is. It can be tough to let go a bit.

Some useful tips on safety. Protective gear is a good investment. From helmets to knee and elbow pads they are cheap in what they may save.

The larger the tire sizes the better an electric scooter will handle bumps and various obstacles on a surface. This makes them safer than scooters with small diameter wheels. Also, an air-filled tire will ride and handle much better than a solid wheel. The larger the model the larger the tire size generally.

One last point. Electric scooter parts, like an extra battery is great if the exchange is easy. So if the battery can be taken out and replaced easily, it is nice to have the second one since recharging is generally an eight hour process.

My only regret to this day with wheels and adult electric scooter my four children, is that I did not get more of them when I could have. In addition, if I could do it over again I would have gotten them a lot sooner as well, while the kids were still home. Once they are gone, it's over!

Now it is on to spoil the grand kids and give my own kids a heart attack when the time comes! Spoil them and send them home is what I have always heard. And when there are "cool" toys at Grandma and Grandpa's house, they will want to come back!
