HALDI AND MEHDNI IN MALTA - JAYMINI AND JEET

In the heart of vibrant traditions and boundless love, Jaymini and Jeet embarked on their beautiful journey as a married couple. The celebrations of the Haldi and Mehdni commenced at the luxurious St. George Hotel , where the immediate family gathered by the poolside for a henna ceremony, organized with meticulous care by Perfectweddings, creating an intimate and magical ambiance.

The day began with sacred rituals and vibrant colors. Although orignally the Haldi was intended for La Piazza, the rituals and prayers had to be performed inside and the confernece room was transformed into a tapestry of cultural richness, adorned with 40 chairs and colorful cushions. The aromatic scent of Haldi hung in the air as the ceremony unfolded under the guidance of a devoted priest. Meanwhile, DJ Ikky infused the atmosphere with music, adding a melodious backdrop to the rituals.  Following the morning ceremonies, a sumptuous lunch awaited the guests.

 The evening sparkled with the glow of LED candles, setting a romantic mood by the pool. X4 round tables surrounded the area, adorned with cushions and carpets. The DJ booth faced the sea, the backdrop a canvas for the intricate artistry of mehndi. Guests were welcomed with Prosecco and juice, and as the night unfolded, speeches, dinner, and performances ensued, ending with the dance floor pulsating with energy.

Hi! I am Franklin - the owner and photographer for all the images you see here!  I was born in 1985, in the picturesque village of Tarxien in the island of Malta, and pursued my studies and graduated as a mechanical engineer in 2007.  Although engineering and art may seem to be unrelated,  I grew fond of industrial design and this sharpened my appreciation to geometry and symmetry - which I now find so useful in my photography.

My photographic journey started (and continues) with a passion for street photography during which I document people in their daily mundane activities.  I feel that my vision has been influenced by my Christian upbringing and values, as in my photography I seek to display the invisible and spiritual realm with the physical and optical dimensions.  I also create creative portraits, brand and interior design imagery for commercial clients.

This love of documenting people, their  personality and connections has through the years lead me to photograph couples from all over the world including couples from China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, England, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Russia, Germany, Latvia, India, and the USA.  I just love meeting and working with people from all over the world!
