Diablo 2 Resurrected is widely regarded as one of the best games in the loot-grinding genre and  has served as inspiration for many other popular titles such as Diablo 4, Path of Exile, and  more. With the upcoming start of Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 5, now is the perfect time to  delve into what makes this game so influential.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Season 5 brings the thrilling challenge of starting a new character
and competing to become the ultimate monster slayer. Whether you’re a veteran player or new to  the series, a ladder reset offers a fresh start for everyone, similar to the beginning of a  Diablo 4 season.

Although Diablo 2 Resurrected may initially feel different from Diablo 4 due to its classic  nature, it’s relatively easy to pick up and play. Furthermore, there is a wealth of resources  and helpful community members available to guide you on your journey through this 23-year-old  RPG.

It’s worth noting that running in Diablo 2 Resurrected significantly reduces your ability to  block enemy attacks. Therefore, it’s important to toggle off your sprint when entering combat  to maintain your defensive capabilities.

In preparation for Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 5, Blizzard has made minimal balance adjustments  or additions, allowing players to access information on new runewords and optimal loadouts from  the previous season. This ensures that you’re equipped with the knowledge needed to make the  most of the upcoming season.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 5 will officially commence on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 2pm  PDT. The start time will be consistent across all regions, with North America beginning at 2pm  PDT / 5pm EDT, Europe at 10pm BST / 11pm CEST, and Asia at 6am KST / 8am AET.

When creating a character for Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 5, players have the choice to play in  one of four modes based on their preferences. These include Pre-expansion ladder, Pre-expansion  hardcore ladder, Ladder, and Hardcore Ladder. The latter two modes include the additional  content from the Lord of Destruction expansion.

After the conclusion of Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 4, ladder characters will be shifted to  their respective non-ladder group. Their items will be stored in a withdraw-only shared stash  tab. Note that any items remaining in the withdraw-only tabs from Season 3 will be lost, so it ’s crucial to retrieve any valuable items before Season 5 begins.
